It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Martin Murphy, a beloved figure from Midwest Radio. He peacefully departed this world at his home in Stonepark, Knockbrack, Aclare, Co. Sligo, surrounded by the love of his devoted family.
Martin was predeceased by his cherished wife, Alice, his infant son Gerard, and his brother, Fr. Vincent. He leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his children: Vincent (Mary) of New York, Francis (Gaye) of Kilmactigue, Mary Reynolds (Gerry) of Lucan, Liam (Kate) of Tullamoy, Anna Maria O’Hara (Brendan) of New York, Martina McLoughlin (P.J.) of Kilkelly, Fr. Gabriel of Keash Parish, Patrick of Stonepark, and Noreen McLoughlin (Brendan) of Charlestown.
He will be profoundly missed by his 16 adored grandchildren: Ciarán, Cathal, Aoife, Diarmuid, Eoghain, Ciara, Aishling, Roisín, Micheal, Brendan, Brian, Anna, Teresa, Martina, Kyle, Nicole, and Mikayla. Also mourning his loss are his sister Elizabeth Noonan (New York), brother-in-law Michael Sheridan (Noreen) of Newport, sister-in-law Nora Moran (Chicago), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, relatives, neighbors, and friends.

Martin will be reposing at his home (F91 CY60) this Monday, the 15th, from 12 noon until 8 pm, and on Tuesday from 12 am until 5 pm. Please note that the house will be private from 5 o'clock on Tuesday. The funeral will arrive at The Church of The Holy Rosary, Kilmactigue, at 8 o'clock. The Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, the 17th, at 12 noon, followed by the funeral at Kilmactigue Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests no floral tributes. A one-way traffic system will be in place, with access to Stonepark via The Middle Claddagh Road.
